However when I sold the item under these details, the purchaser returned it saying it was only clocking 2.1GHZ
So again, selling this as a 2.1 GHZ processor. This is all the information I have.
Up for sale is a processor I was selling on behalf of someone else
I was told the item was an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX Processor Engineering Sample 2.5GHz. (Thus no AMD label or serial match on AMDs website)
However when I sold the item under these details, the purchaser returned it saying it was only clocking 2.1GHZ
The original owner was adamant that this is normal and "even retail chips commonly sit near 2.0–2.3 GHz all-core under full load."
I am admittedly not an expert with these types of things and have no way of testing or verifying any of this
As a result I am selling this as a 2.1GHz. I do not know if the purchaser who returned it was unable to achieve the 2.5 for whatever reason that could be or whether that was totally normal for a 2.5GHz processor
So again, selling this as a 2.1 GHZ processor. This is all the information I have.
I have listed this on the higher end of the prices I am seeing online but am open to any and all reasonable offers.
