Up for sale is a McLaren MDS Official Diagnostic Tool Kit -  PLEASE READ

Please read full description before purchase. 

Received this in a surplus of items from an unknown origin. Have not been able to figure out how to get this operational. These devices require a user name and password which was unknown - and reaching out to McLaren provided no help.

They "do not sell licenses or provide credentials for diagnostic tools since the intent is for those to be used by our authorized retailers only"

Appears this may be an aftermarket unit. Went as far as to pay for a username and password from a chinese contact who I found online which I paid for and received - however, have not been able to get that working either (I will provide that username and pw with the device) as it appears there may be some restrictions with the device as the toughbook itself I cannot figure out how to turn on the wifi (yes, I am aware of the switch on the side of the device - even tried redownloading the drivers)

Can use an ethernet cord to connect to internet but still says not connected to internet when trying to log in. Then says username and password incorrect but not sure if that is internet related or I paid a couple hundred dollars to someone for absolutely nothing 

I consider myself somewhat tech savvy and despite my best efforts am throwing my hands up and accepting defeat

Also do not know the administrator password for the tablet itself

PLEASE ONLY PURCHASE this if you know what you are doing. I will not accept returns as I am finally trying to rid myself of this headache - this at least has the value of the toughbook itself which Im sure can be restored somehow.

Please also note there are also some dead pixels on the screen (still operates fine with touch - just black pixels) and can still read everything OK

Hoping maybe someone who works at McLaren or something finds this auction. I will list as a BUY IT NOW but will gladly accept any offers. Am considering sell for a dollar at this point. 

But again, you are buying this under the assumption its a paper weight
